Below are the key questions and answers regarding reimbursement and participation in IFEC 2025:
Q1: Is APEC registration required to participate in IFEC?
A1: Registration for APEC is not required to participate in the IFEC competition. However, APEC is a globally recognized conference that brings together experts and professionals in the power electronics industry. If possible, we highly encourage attendance to benefit from this valuable opportunity.
Q2: How should teams proceed with reimbursement?
A2: After APEC, each team must prepare and submit their reimbursement documents per the “Guideline for Travel Reimbursement” Once all materials are ready, please email them to the financial contact, Prof. Jim Chen (chenjim@ntu.edu.tw).
Note: Each team will receive the necessary reimbursement documents in a Google Drive folder (included in the email) titled “Travel Reimbursement,” which includes the following three attachments:
- Guideline for Travel Reimbursement
- Receipt Example 1
- Travel and Expense Reimbursement Guidelines
Q3: What expenses are covered under IFEC 2025 funding?
A3: Reimbursement is provided on an actual-cost basis, requiring submission of receipts for eligible expenses, such as accommodation and airfare. For U.S.-based teams, the maximum reimbursement limit is $2,250, and for teams from outside the U.S., the limit is $4,500. Please note that reimbursement is subject to these limits and based on actual expenses incurred.
